The route is suitable for people with moderate resistance and used to traversing steep slopes. It starts from Porta Catania and through internal streets and the SP10 you reach the entrance of the Saracens climb.

This ancient road led to Castelmola. Around it the lands were cultivated and represented a livelihood for the citizens of the two countries. Here we find the Arco dei Saraceni and the ancient church of San Biagio.

In piazza S. Antonio continue on the SP10 towards Taormina and then turn left near the municipal parking lot.

From here begins the first ascent that leads over the mountains of Taormina. The panorama becomes spectacular and there will be many ideas for taking photographs. Less than a kilometer after taking this road, you will find the first shortcut which is nothing more than an ancient Roman road used by the legionaries.

After this you return to the road to then resume two other shortcuts. One of them passes by an old isolated rural building on this slope.

Continuing you return to the road and then re-enter the last shortcut that leads to the final stretch. The latter is barely a path that runs along the side of Monte Venra and leads to the top.
